My girlfriend ordered this for my birthday. It was really good. The sweetness is just right, not too sweet, but you can still taste the buttercream and cake. The design is simple and clean, exactly my style. Would definitely get it again.

Found the best Asian desserts in northern NY! The cake cups are always made fresh to order & delicious. Custom cakes are also fresh, and the baker takes custom requests for flavor profile, sweetness level, health needs/requirements of those eating the cake & design ideas, all into careful, thoughtful consideration. Also love the fresh teas and lattes they offer! Market days are the best days to try their massive variety of baked goods and teas. We love the biscuits & iced teas. Everything is homemade, pretty to look at, and healthy (but still yummy!) to eat. Thank you!!!!

Without exaggeration, this is not only the best cake shop in Ithaca, NY, but one of the best in the United States. Their fresh mochi boxes have a texture that’s hard to match—even compared to top bakeries in Shanghai or Tokyo. Their desserts always make you feel that if there were even a little less sugar, it wouldn’t be sweet enough—they control sweetness at an almost perfect level. For Asian students at Cornell, this is honestly one of the most delightful discoveries in Ithaca. I also highly recommend their pineapple shortcake. Even in Taiwan, most pineapple pastries are made with winter melon and a lot of added sugar, but theirs is made with 100% real pineapple, with no added sugar and no stabilizers. The flavor is naturally balanced—bright, fresh, and slightly tangy. They’ve truly elevated Taiwanese baking to a whole new level. Also, my boyfriend and I order our birthday cakes from Taiwan Cakery every year. Once you’ve had their cakes, it’s hard to go back—because the standard is set. If you want a truly decent, high-quality cake or dessert, you know exactly where to go. 100% recommended!

I am so excited to share my positive experience with all things dessert from Taiwan Cakery. Teresa is an amazingly creative and compassionate individual who is sharing love and support through not-so-sweet but absolutely tasty edible creations. She and her whole family are an absolute delight to see at the Ithaca Farmer's Market or their retail pickup spot. The desserts are beautifully amazing -- made with clean and high quality ingredients, and without the high amounts of sugar or processed items, the other ingredients are really allowed to shine. From the mooncakes and cookies to the snow cubes and cake cups to the dew bowls and custom cakes -- everything has been spectacular. I'd also say Teresa is incredibly passionate about her craft and is a bit of a perfectionist, regularly trying out new flavor combinations and dessert ideas and tweaking her recipes to make them even more perfect. Honestly, her desserts are almost too pretty to eat, but that hasn't stopped me yet. Her artisan box also works great as special occasion or just-because gifts for those loved ones in your life. Have loved Taiwan Bakery’s cakes and desserts for the past six years. Was not really a dessert person before, but this bakery changed me. Their desserts are made with so much care thus super delicious. Chef is a genius and has love in desserts. I still remember the creative "osmanthus wine" cake I had before. The flavor combination was amazing. To be honest, even my cat friend would love to try their desserts, lol~~. Highly recommended!!!
